BUILDING A MINI-ME:
INGREDIENTS:
1 small double terminated quartz
3 blue aquamarine aquamarine crystals or pieces
3 green peridot crystals or pieces
1 green garnet (grossular/tsavorite only) 5mm or so
6 green tourmaline needles about 1/2" long
1 teaspoon fine brass shavings/filings
about 1/2 teaspoon crushed pyrite (not pulverized, but small)
about 15 feet of 20--22 guage copper or brass wire
1 natural small diamond, any color
resin, about 3--4 ounces, (clearcast is what is pictured)
yellow resin can be used just as effectively, but not as
attractively, of course.
STEPS TO BUILDING A MINI-ME:
First, find a suitable mold. This can be a small, cylindrical-shaped plastic bottle of
any kind. Cut the top off and leave it about 4 inches tall.  It requires a total of 4
pouring steps to finish a mini-me.

STEP 1 Configure a small sbb coil like the one pictured above,  Pour enough resin to cover it, and let harden. You can put glitter in for show at this point, then place your green garnet (tzavorite) right in the middle. Pour more resin just to cover it.

STEP 2 Now begin your resin/metal layers. Pour about 1/2 of resin,
add a layer of brass, topped with a thin layer of pyrite. This can be
done in the same step. Although layering looks good here.

STEP 3  Now it is time to configure your reactor core. Begin by preparing
your individual tourmalines with wires, as pictured below. You
may use silver, brass, or copper wire......even gold if you are so
lucky!  A 20 guage seems best. Anything larger is cumbersome
to go around the tiny tourmalines.
