Our Driveway
AFTER
CHARLEY
BEFORE
CHARLEY
Notice the large shade tree in the background in the photo to the left? It belonged to our next door neighbor. Below are close-ups of that Laurel Oak tree that split four ways and smashed part of our fence.

A word to the wise,never plant a
Laurel Oak tree for any reason.  They have very short life spans and fall apart in a maximum time of 65 years after they have reached a large, looming size.  On the other hand, Water Oaks or Live Oaks can live thousands of years and not lose a branch.  As I drove around photographing, I found many of the Laurel Oaks had done this same thing.  There is a huge water oak in the backyard of this very home and it lost not a branch!

AFTER SOME CLEARING
DAY OF
STORM
These are shots of downed trees all over
the neighborhood.  It looks like this
for miles around.  Seems a bit surreal to
drive thru corridors of debris and see such a
changed landscape all around.  It is disorienting.
